The Jackson Parish Coroner’s Office strives to be professional and yet have a personal and compassionate relationship with the people that we serve.  We deal with people at what is usually one of  the worst times of their lives whether it is death related,  mental cases, sexual assualt incidents, substance abuse difficulties or troubled children.  It is our job to provide guidance and direction for the mentally ill and their families, to protect victims of sexual assault to see that Justice will prevail, to insure the accurate investigation and reporting in dealing with deaths of a sudden, unexpected, traumatic nature or homicides.  It is encumbent upon us to strive to improve the public health and safety of the citizens of Jackson Parish.  It is our responsibility to represent and speak for those that are deceased since they cannot represent or speak for themselves.
